OceanPointe Dental Assisting Academy of Austin's hybrid dental assisting program. Our program is broken into two parts:

Online Classes: Most lecture learning  is online composed of power point, videos, quizzes and exams. Online done weekly at home. 

Hands-On Training: 

In person hands-on lab in a working dental office. 8 hours a week. 

We intentionally keep our classes small by capping them off at 8  students per clas.

While no educational institute can legally guarantee employment, what OceanPointe can guarantee is that we’ll be with you every step of the way. With aid and guidance from our student advisor to help you land your first job as a dental assistant, our externship and job placement support provides the resources you need to be successful! Our goal is to support you through every step of this journey as you transition out of the “classroom” and into a dental practice. Dental assistants continue to remain in high demand, with job outlook expected to see huge growth through the coming years. Our goal is to ensure you’re able to get a job and start earning a paycheck ASAP!

We do not offer any state or federal financial aid at this time. We do offer payment plans. Please contact our school for more information.

• Everything you need to successfully become a dental asssitant. CPR certification. 

Graduating students will receive a certificate of completion, indicating all requirements and expectations of our Dental Assistant training program have been met and fulfilled. This is an important certificate and one that you can share with your employer to prove you’ve completed  our Licensed dental Assisting program.

OceanPointe Dental Assisting Academy of Austin is proudly owned by Dr. Goehring, a practicing dentist in Austin, TX, who also owns Goehring Dental. This dentist-led approach ensures a more personalized and detailed educational experience. The academy features a large, state-of-the-art dental lab where students can learn hands-on and offers opportunities to shadow sedation dentistry.
